ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• 16 to 18 years of age upon entry.  Students who are 15 may apply for class 29 if they turn 16 during the residential phase of the academy (Jan - May 2022).

​

• Must be at risk of not graduating high school (credit deficient)

​

• Student must be a legal resident of the United States and California.

​

• Must be willing to be drug free.

​

• No pending legal charges, felony adjudications, or deferred entry of judgement.

​

• Emotionally and physically capable of completing program.

​

• Students must volunteer to attend Sunburst (We are not an alternative sentencing program, placement facility, parents cannot force students to attend).

 

​

Sunburst is a quasi military leadership academy that is free for students who have decided to make positive change in their lives.
